In order to keep the heart of who we are alive and preserve the integrity of our message everything released by Higher Balance is done by Higher Balance, from beginning to end. In the same way a skilled craftsman will dream, shape and create into reality their work, so do we write, edit, design and publish our own works. No distant publisher to change things their heart isn’t in, or an outside hired designer trying to capture a feeling that’s unknown to them.

It began at the end of 2004 with the rising underground sleeper hit The Handbook of the Navigator. Struggling to learn the publishing industry, it is not market savvy that has carried the Handbook forward. The Handbook of the Navigator has been carried forward on the strength of its message and the power of its content. Less than three years later The Handbook of the Navigator has sold over 40,000 copies worldwide. Its success prompted Eric Pepin, the author, to release it as a free E-Book quickly coming up on its 100,000th download.

The Handbook of the Navigator continues its quiet, sleeper success growing in popularity as it continues to be passed along.

A little over a year after the Handbook’s debut Higher Balance Publishing released Bending God: A Memoir. Described as being “ahead of its time” Bending God is the beginning of an intimate, epic journey of a kind of spiritual discovery you usually only see in movies.
